It should go without saying that we preach as ordinary people.” Unfortunately, the ordinary people we preach to often have extraordinary expectations of their rather ordinary preacher. The problem is exacerbated (at least in the US) by the frequent exposure to size XXL preachers through Christian television, radio, and now the internet.
